Absolutely NOT! There may be some other makers or internet Ninjas who may say otherwise!? However ALL of our holsters are designed to fit one gun specifically and are marked as such, on each holster. So Again, NO do not carry a gun in a holster that was not made to carry that gun!
We will never sacrifice our integrity, honor, pride, or reputation especially over money. Every holster is made to order, in the order in which it was received, NO exceptions!
If you need a holster right away, check our IN STOCK ITEMS maybe you'll get lucky.
We have been asked this a number of times and Im really not sure why? There must be makers who dont!? Anyway, YES any of our holsters or accessory carries are offered in both left and right hand configurations.
Every one of our holsters takes a great deal of time, knowledge, and experience to develop; after the development each holster is field tested By Bobby and a number of Professionals. As you an imagine, this process is both time consuming and difficult. As a result it is hard enough to design and manufacture a holster that will perform one function correctly, let alone two! Although some of these "gimmick" holsters sound like a great concept and perhaps the ideal holster, don't be fooled into buying something that promises more than it can deliver? Again, we recommend you research before you buy, other than a gun, a holster is the most essential tool in your kit.
Typically we do not; In some cases where the shape of the gun is the same as a standard S&W model we can make a holster for you. Otherwise, the PC guns are just to expensive for us to buy 1 of each just to use as a mold. You are however, always welcome to ship your gun to us for a custom fitting but keep in mind you are responsible for the to and from overnight shipping and insurance which can add up.

Unfortunately there is no way, every holster is made to order, in the order in which it was received, NO exceptions!
Sometimes we have extra holsters around the shop, if we do they will be listed under IN STOCK ITEMS you should check it out, maybe you'll get lucky.
Unfortunately, taking a gun in and out of a holster will alwys have some wear on a guns finish. Holsters whether they are made of plastic, leather, horsehide/cowhide, lined or un-lined, soft leather/ hard leather do not protect gun finishes as much as we would like. Therefore, there really is nothing you can do to stop this wear and nobody in the industry (at least the ones that are honest about it) can claim they have the solution in their product. Obviously, leather is softer than plastic therefore will be gentler on your finish than a plastic holster would.
Your guns actual finish (hardness) is also something to consider! For example a blued gun will have finish wear in 1/2 the time as a nickel or hard chrome finish and a stainless finish would be the least to gain wear!
Bobby Macs builds each holster to a specific firearm, when doing so we precisely bone (hand molding done with various shape and size pieces of bone) each holster to the gun. As a result of our boning process, especially on the inside of the trigger guard your gun "clicks" into the holster. As far as we are concerned there is NO substitute for a precision fit.
If we do not make a particular style you are interested in, please contact us and we will either work with you to make one or we have a VERY short list of makers we can refer you to. As for our referals - there are only 3 other makers we trust enought ot recommend, which is based on the quality of their work and reputation in the holster business.
We try to use the same piece of leather for orders with multiple products; however, like human skin every piece of leather is different therefore will accept dye differently! Although we try to get it as close as possible, there’s no guarantee it will be identical!
If a gun is not listed, we probably do not have a mold for that gun and most likely do not offer a holster for it. In some cases where the shape of the gun is the same as a similar frame /model we can sometimes make a holster for you. We have had many customers ship us their gun for a custom fitting, which you are always welcome to do, but keep in mind you are responsible for the to and from overnight shipping and insurance which can add up.

Although we use top grain leather in all of our products, it is still the skin from a cow. As a result, cows are often bit by mosquitos, black flies, cut/scratched by barbed wire, have stretch marks, etc. As a result, these actions sometimes leave a scar, which sometimes show up as a dark spot or mark. We believe it is these natural minor imperfections that give the leather its beauty, uniqueness, and character. That is why our favorite dye is one of the antiques or custom red brown, they bring these characteristis out intentionally...
However, in the unlikely event a piece of leather was shipped to you with excessive "marks", we would glady replace it.
We offer the same colors for our belts as we do our holsters; we try to use the same piece of leather for orders with multiple products. Sample photos are below - please keep in mind the lighting in the photos may make the colors appear differently and like human skin every piece of leather is different, therefore will accept dye differently! Although we try to get it as close as possible, there’s no guarantee it will be identical! *Right Click > view image - for a larger view

Most of our holsters will work with boot grip style lasers, like the Crimson Trace line. Typically, any frame mounted lasers, or those which change the guns size, dimensions, shape, etc. will NOT work with our holsters - as every holster is made to fit a standard factory model Snubby.
However, you best bet is to send us an email and make sure, the holster(s) your purchasing will be compatible.
A directional or "pull the dot" snap is a snap that we use on most of our belt attachments (it adds some security). It is simply a snap the can only be disengaged using pressure in one direction (opposite the metal tab found on the female side).
To operate the snap- the side of the snap with the tab located inside the female cap, must be engaged onto the male snap first by angling the female snap at that point to engage it. Then to complete the closure, you roll the female snap over the male snap till it clicks shut. Any confusion on this can be resolved by looking in the female cap to see where the tab is located. That side of the snap always gets engaged onto the male snap first.
WARNING - If you don't engage and close the snaps properly, the snaps may appear to be closed, but will pop open unexpectedly. If that happens, you can be sure that you are not closing them properly. If this is this case read above, how to operate the snap again and make sure you visually look at the inside of the female cap to locate the metal tab.
Brand new snaps can be "tight" as a result you can add a drop of lubricating wax / or machine oil on the rim of the male snap to make it easier to open and close. Don't over do it though, just a spot should be enough!?
Both have their advantages and disadvantages and that is up to you to research. We do not personally use horsehide, only cowhide.
As far as which makes a "better" quality or more durable holster? As far as we /and many other makers are concerned both horse and cow should give you a lifetime of service if the holster is quality made and proper care has been given to either.
Although we really cant stand this question, we are asked often enough that it warranted an FAQ.
The first thing Bobby usually asks - tongue in cheek, "did you ask Smith & Wesson why their guns costs so much"? Or he'll mention the fact they spend "x" hundred dollars on a firearm, but don't want to spend more than $25 on a holster to not only carry and protect their $600 investment, but one day possibly rely on to save their life? We understand, your money is hard earned and you'd like to spend as little as possible, however as the old saying goes "you get what you pay for" and we believ, that to be the truth... If you buy a $25 holster you're going to get a $25 holster!
As for our prices, all we can tell you; Bobby has dedicated the past several years of his life to developing the best Snubby holsters on the market. Every one of our holsters takes a great deal of time, knowledge, and experience to develop; after the development stage each holster is then field tested by Bobby and a number of todays Professionals. Once it becomes a production model, each holster is personally handcrafted by Bobby with specific attention to quality and detail.
As always we encourage folks to do some research before deciding to buy a holster.
Its not your holster that takes 4 months to make, it is the processing and making of all the orders ahead of yours. Unfortunately the demand for our holsters surpasses our ability to produce them.
Although we may occasionally have some help around the shop, the ONLY person making your holster is Bobby Mac himself, and every holster is made to to order, in the order in which it was received, no exceptions.
Being a one man shop also posses it's challanges - if Bobby gets sick, family issues, holidays, vacations, "life" etc. may also cause temporary delays. 95 percent of the time our actual delivery's fall within our estimated time. But there have been occasions when we have been a couple weeks late, as well as a couple weeks early (nobody ever complains when we are early though). Remember though, the key word here is "estimated". An estimated delivery date is not by any means a guarantee of delivery, though we do try our best to be timely. Our time estimates are based on experience in assessing our workload, to give you the most accurate estimate possible. Unfortunately, it isn't perfect.
Bobby Mac's will NOT sell a product that we wont' /dont personally use... As we do not personally believe in SOB style carry, we are not comfortable producing a holster for it! If you are someone that believes that is the only way to carry, we would happily recommend a maker.
Unfortunately, that is for you to decide! We will NEVER speak negative about ANY other maker! With that said, there are a some World Class makers out there (a couple we trust and use ourselves) and then, there are others... We encourage you to research and compare before you buy!
What we can say for certain is - Our holsters are developed by professionals for professionals with self defense as the primary purpose. Our holsters are used in the real world venue by professionals that are counting on their gear to possibly save a / their life. We can also say that Bobby personally carries a gun 24/7 and is a defensive trainer, so he knows what its like to carry a gun in the real world and has deidcated the past several years to nothing but developing the best snubby holsters in the world. Bobby will also NEVER sell a product he wouldn't personally use himself!
We do not sell "gimmick" holsters, we sell real use holsters for real life use! For more detailed info, you can visit our About Us section.
So look around a bit and decide for yourself, what holster brand is best for you?
Maybe!? As every holster and/or belt maker, uses different tools, techniques, etc. there will always be little subtleties in products and /or dimensions. So, as a rule of thumb we say "don't count on it". Therefore, we can not guarantee our holsters will work with any belts, other than our own. With that said, most top quality makers are pretty consistant.
